It's me ya'll

My Photography Journey

First off, I want to thank you for supporting my small business! Without you, my dream of being a full-time wedding photographer would not be possible. Since 2016, I've had the honor to capture unique stories full-time. I'm here to remind you that this is your day; I’m just here to capture it and to enjoy it with you.

Our Services

We provide a range of photography services for couples seeking a wedding photographer. Be sure to inquire about our wedding packages, as well as our special offers on engagements and boudoir sessions.

Wedding Collection

Elopement

Most elopements consist of just the couple and a few witnesses. These intimate ceremonies can take place at a park, backyard, City Hall, or wherever you two decide. Pricing is based on the specific event.

Classic Collection

This is my most popular wedding package. Capture your day from end of getting ready to first dances with the standard 8-hour photography services. This package also includes a print release and online gallery.

Complete Collection

Capture 10 hours of your day with our comprehensive photography services! Usually this will start during the middle of getting ready to your guests on the dance floor. This package includes a three-hour second shooter, a print release, and an online gallery, perfect for documenting your special moments from beginning to end.

Getting Ready

Couple sharing a tender moment, showing an engagement ring.

I love getting the opportunity to work with you before your big day. Think of it as a prep to get you ready for your wedding photos, especially if you haven't had your picture taken since senior year. It's a great way to get to know each other on a more personal level as well.

Getting Ready

Group of women celebrating, one in white robe, others in black outfits with matching slippers.

Lighting is everything! Getting ready in a dark basement will look much different than in a bright natural room. Girls can be a bit messy during this particular timeframe (which is expected and totally fine!) I usually arrive towards the end of getting ready. Once everyone is basically finished, I would try to clean up some clutter if possible. Not only will this look better in photos, but it will also reduce stress while you prepare for your special day.

First look vs Traditional

Bride walking down the aisle with a man during an outdoor autumn wedding.

This is the most important piece to your timeline. I have a sample down below to compare each. Basically, the main difference will be the timing of family & wedding party photos.

Wedding party & Family

First look vs Traditional

Wedding party & Family

During this timeframe the sun is usually at its harshest. If it's cloudy, perfect! We can explore any location. However, if it's pure sun, we will search for a shaded location. This approach helps reduce eye squinting and unwanted shadows, ensuring that we can capture the best moments.

Ceremony

First look vs Traditional

Wedding party & Family

Outdoor wedding ceremony by the water with white arches and guests seated.

Having a nice wide aisle is preferred, if possible. This gives more room for better angles without blocking the view from guests during your special day.

Remember to walk slowwwww and take it all in!!!!

Dinner/ Cake cutting

Bride and groom enjoying cake at their wedding reception under warm string lights.

During this time, it's best if vendors eat when you eat this way we can get right back to shooting, ensuring we maximize our time together. I've had venues serve us last and this is usually when speeches start or when I want to step out for sunset photos.

First Dance

Bride and groom share a dance in a warmly lit reception hall.

Please speak with your DJ ahead of time for lighting purposes! During your first dance I would prefer amber or subtle lighting. We don't need purple and blue strobe lights taking over the color of your face. Once the first dances are over, please crank that sh*t up to any color!!!

Golden Hour

Bride and groom kiss in a grassy field with cows nearby at sunset.

We will most likely go out when your guest is being served dinner, depending on weather. These are the ones you'll most likely hang on your wall. If you got a veil, this is the perfect time to show it off. And if it rains, I suggest using a clear umbrella to keep the charm of your wedding photography intact.

Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at charisehealyphotography@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We specialize in a natural, candid, and documentary style of photography that captures real moments and emotions. I'm all about variety, so I do mix in a few traditional style poses as well.

They'll come on an online gallery. From there you can download and share.

Please download and save all photos to a trusted hard drive or USB drive, galleries do eventually expire!

Yes, we offer a range of album and print services to showcase your photos in a beautiful and timeless way. You can find this on the gallery website. If not my gallery site please print at a higher resolution company such as Shutterfly, Canvas World, and Mpix. Walgreens and Target don't have printers to handle high resolution images (you'll be disappointed).

Printing tip: when downloading you'll be given two options. High resolution is for printing and web downloads are for sharing on the internet. If you accidently print in Web format your photos will turn out discolored.

My goal is to send a good size preview within the first week. After that it takes about 5-6 weeks to receive the remaining photos (August-October usually takes longer due to back-to-back weddings).

Once you sign your contract, you'll send a deposit to reserve your wedding date. The remaining balance will be due one month prior to your wedding.

Yesssss! I absolutely love doing boudoir. Not only does it make the perfect wedding gift, but it's a fun and rewarding experience for you as well. Some of my brides like to schedule their makeup trial the morning before we shoot. We will most likely shoot in the afternoon then. I do have a private Instagram to preview my portfolio.
